Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical SME to lead power systems for hyperscale data centers, guiding MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, and generator paralleling. You will mentor teams, review calculations, and drive technical governance across projects.

The role blends client-facing leadership with hands-on design-build delivery, and requires active licensure and decades of experience in critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited).
• PE license active in at least one US state (required).
• 20+ years electrical engineering; 15+ years data center/tech facility design.
• Expertise in MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and redundancy.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients.
• Oversee power systems studies: short-circuit, coordination, arc flash analysis.
• Govern electrical deliverables and support commissioning of critical power systems.
• Present at client workshops and industry forums; support proposals.
• Mentor engineers; develop reusable design libraries and references.
