Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned electrical engineer for a hybrid role in the U.S. The position involves conducting relay setting calculations, power system analyses, arc flash, and transient studies while collaborating with project teams and clients.

Requires 5+ years of electrical analysis experience, proficiency with ETAP/SKM/PSCAD/EMTP-RV, and strong communication skills. Occasional travel to client sites may be required; PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Power Systems) or equivalent experience; Master’s/PhD preferred.
• 5+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.
• Experience analyzing power systems with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD or EMTP-RV.
• Proficiency with MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to guide others.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay setting calculations.
• Conduct power system calculations and arc flash analyses.
• Carry out cable ampacity and transient analyses.
• Complete harmonic, grounding, and renewable energy calculations.
• Potential on-site travel to client offices or project sites for consultation.
