Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a senior electrical engineer to perform advanced power system analyses and support a range of substations, transmission, nuclear and renewable projects. The role blends on-site collaboration with flexible, hybrid work and opportunities to travel to client sites for on-site consultation.

You will use ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV, mentor junior staff, and contribute to design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.
• Experience with power-system analysis software ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV.
• Proficiency with MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to guide others.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical analysis for power system studies including relay setting calculations, power system calculations, arc flash, cable ampacity, transient and harmonic analyses.
• Contribute to projects across substations, transmission lines, conventional power, nuclear and renewable energy.
• Coordinate with project teams and clients; provide on-site consultation when required.
