Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a senior Electrical Analyst in a hybrid role with on-site work at the Houston office and remote work flexibility. The role focuses on electrical analysis across substation, transmission, conventional power, nuclear, and renewable projects.

Required are 10+ years in electrical analysis, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency with ETAP/SKM/PSCAD/EMTP-RV. PE exam is valued; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power/Power Systems) required; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• 10+ years of experience performing electrical analysis.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, PSCAD, and EMTP-RV.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to guide others.
• Professional Engineer (PE) exam is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform relay setting calculations.
• Carry out power system calculations.
• Conduct arc flash calculations.
• Perform cable ampacity calculations.
• Run transient analyses.
• Conduct harmonic analyses.
• Perform renewable energy calculations.
• Perform grounding and induction calculations.
• Travel to client offices for on-site consultation
