Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Systems to join our growing team. The role focuses on high-impact electrical design challenges across industrial and energy infrastructure projects, serving as a technical lead and client partner.

You will guide projects from concept through execution, mentoring engineers, and supporting business growth. Remote and hybrid options are available, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of electrical engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience in a technical leadership role
• Direct experience supporting industrial facilities
• Experience using SKM or ETAP
• Strong knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, API and AGA practices

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering projects from concept through delivery
• Serve as technical lead and make decisions on complex issues
• Develop and oversee power system designs, controls drawings, calculations, and reports
• Design electrical service interconnects with local utilities
• Prepare specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of equipment
• Perform system studies, detailed design, reviews, and technical reporting
• Use SKM/ETAP for modeling and analysis
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders
• Identify risks and scope changes early
• Contribute to proposals, cost estimating, and business development
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
