Job summary

Lake Superior Consulting, LLC is seeking an Electrical Power Engineer to design, analyze, and upgrade medium- and low-voltage systems for industrial clients. You will lead electrical scope on projects from concept through commissioning and mentor junior engineers.

The role supports hybrid or remote work, involves field investigations, and requires travel to project sites. A PE-capable background and strong NEC/IEEE knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BE in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 3+ years in electrical power systems engineering in industrial/utilities/consulting.
• Experience designing/modifying MV (1 kV–38 kV) and LV power systems.
• Modeling in SKM ETAP EasyPower; capable of defending results.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scope on mid-to-large projects and set technical direction.
• Perform power system analyses including load flow, short-circuit, coordination.
• Design and review diagrams, protection schemes, wiring/interconnection layouts.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and mentor junior staff.
