Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior electrical power systems engineer to lead design and governance for hyperscale data center programs. You will shape the electrical infrastructure strategy from utility interconnection through IT equipment receptacles, including MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and transfer schemes.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and present at client workshops while upholding NEC/NFPA/IEEE standards and Jacobs’ internal specs.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required; Master’s preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale data center programs.
• Define MV/LV distribution architecture and redundancy strategies.
• Oversee design from medium-voltage switchgear through UPS, generator paralleling, and busways.
• Ensure code compliance, perform reviews of calculations and drawings.
