Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a senior electrical engineer specializing in data center power systems. You will shape MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and redundancy for hyperscale programs, while leading cross-functional teams and engaging with clients.
You will mentor engineers, develop standards, and ensure NEC/NFPA/IEEE compliance, with hybrid work options and travel to project sites as needed.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering; PE license required.
- 20+ years in electrical engineering; 15+ years in mission-critical data center design.
- Experience with MV/LV distribution and UPS topology for Tier III/IV facilities.
- Proficiency with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, and IEEE arc flash analysis.
- Strong client-facing leadership and mentoring.
Responsibilities
- Lead upfront power systems planning with hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution and redundancy strategies.
- Drive the full power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generator paralleling, transfer switching, PDUs, and busway.
- Provide governance for electrical deliverables across teams and support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
