Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to lead power systems for hyperscale data centers, spanning utility interconnection through IT equipment receptacle and UPS topology. You will guide MV/LV distribution, generator paralleling, switchgear selection, and arc flash safety programs while mentoring teams.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
• Master's degree preferred.
• PE License required; active licensure in at least one state; NCEES for reciprocal licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution and redundancy strategies.
• Oversee power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generators, transfer switching and PDUs; perform studies (short-circuit, coordination, arc flash).
• Develop Jacobs' electrical standards and calculation libraries for data centers; provide technical governance across teams.
• Mentor engineers and represent Jacobs in industry forums; ensure NEC and NFPA standards compliance.
