Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead high-end power systems for hyperscale data center programs. You will shape MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator strategies, and parallel operations, ensuring code compliance and technical leadership across teams.

You will mentor engineers, supervise calculations and drawings, and support commissioning, IST, and client workshops while advancing Jacobs' standards and innovation in BESS and renewable integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master’s preferred.
• PE License active in at least one U.S. state; reciprocity possible.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience; 15+ years in mission-critical data center design.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning with hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution architecture and redundancy strategies.
• Drive full power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generator paralleling, transfer switching and busway.
• Develop and maintain Jacobs' electrical standards, specs, and calculation libraries for data center practice.
• Provide governance of electrical deliverables and support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
