Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company seeks an Electrical Lead Project Engineer to supervise on-site electrical engineering activities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance. You will guide field engineers, subcontractors, and construction teams to meet project goals.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of electrical power systems, and the ability to manage complex field operations across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience may apply.
• Typically 5–10+ years in electrical field engineering, construction, commissioning, or related roles.
• Proven experience leading field engineering teams on large industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical power systems, protection schemes, and industrial control systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical leadership for electrical systems, including power distribution, grounding, lighting, and control systems.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and specs to support installation and commissioning.
• Lead field engineering teams with mentoring and technical support.
• Coordinate electrical activities with construction, mechanical, civil, and instrumentation teams for seamless execution.
• Review design documents for constructability and identify conflicts or improvements.
• Support procurement by reviewing vendor data sheets and submittals.
• Maintain project schedules and mitigate potential delays.
• Perform site inspections to verify compliance with codes and standards.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical equipment (switchgear, transformers, motors, protection systems).
• Prepare test procedures, work packages, and turnover documentation.
• Promote safety and enforce policies; manage LOTO and arc-flash requirements.
