Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare bid/submittal documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. Lead estimator on projects, coordinating with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize estimates.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, attending pre-bid meetings, driving value engineering, and mentoring junior estimators. Relocation to Texas locations is required with on-site work and opportunities for ESOP benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' estimating or relevant experience in closing construction estimates
• Experience with Accubid estimating software, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam preferred
• CAD or 3D software experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete estimate printout
• Identify key elements for a competitive estimate
• Review specs/drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope
• Evaluate value engineering cost savings
• Lead personnel preparing discipline sub estimates
• Maintain working documents backing estimate figures
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs
• Prepare detailed listing of materials/equipment and obtain quotes
• Solicit quotes from suppliers/subcontractors; review quotes for conformance
• Ensure timely completion of client-required documents
• Draft scope/proposal letters for bid/negotiated projects
• Provide detailed scope review to Chief Estimator before bid package
• Explain job scope during project turnover to Project Management
• Maintain and update Rosendin estimating program files
• Other duties as assigned
