Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare and manage bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. You will lead estimates, collaborate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to produce accurate bids and drive competitive pricing.

Relocation to one of multiple Texas locations is required. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and adherence to Rosendin's standards in a growth-focused organization with extensive employee ownership.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Perform arithmetic calculations for estimating.
• Coordinate and supervise group effort on estimates.
• Mentor estimators and develop their skills.
• Identify customer needs, expectations and requirements.
• Proficient with computer and MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete estimate to printout.
• Identify parts of project key to a competitive estimate.
• Review specifications and drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope.
• Evaluate value engineering opportunities for cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub estimates.
• Maintain documentation backing up estimate figures.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers/subcontractors and review for conformance.
• Explain scope and pricing during project turnover.
