Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator in Texas to lead the bid and cost-estimation process for electrical construction projects. You will coordinate with estimators, suppliers, and customers to deliver competitive estimates aligned with drawings and specifications.

This role requires a bachelor’s in construction management or engineering and at least 4 years of estimating experience. Relocation to one of our Texas locations is provided, with on-site work required and a

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of estimating or other relevant experience in closing construction estimates.
• Experience in Accubid estimating software, LiveCount Cloud, and Bluebeam preferred.
• CAD or 3D software experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates from quantity take-offs and complete bid packages.
• Identify parts of the project that may improve competitiveness of the estimate.
• Review specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of the estimate.
• Evaluate potential value engineering cost savings.
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing discipline sub-estimates.
• Maintain all working documents to back up estimate figures and Rosendin-estimating program.
• Develop labor productivity and unit costs based on site conditions and historical data.
• Identify qualified suppliers and solicit quotes, reviewing quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs.
• Brief the Chief Estimator prior to issuing formal bid packages.
• Explain job scope and key risks to Project Management at turnover.
