Rosendin Electric, Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to prepare bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. This role serves as the Lead Estimator on projects, coordinating with estimators, suppliers, and customers to finalize estimates.

Relocation to one of several TX locations is required; on-site work is expected. The Senior Estimator will mentor junior staff, review proposals, and ensure timely, accurate bid submittals for high-profile projects nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years’ estimating or other relevant construction experience
• Experience with Accubid, Livecount Cloud, and Bluebeam preferred
• Experience with CAD or 3D software preferred

Responsabilités

• Prepare estimate from quantity take-off and complete the estimate for submission
• Identify key parts of the project for a competitive estimate
• Review proposal specs/drawings; attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope and contents of the estimate
• Evaluate areas for potential value engineering and cost savings
• Provide leadership to personnel preparing sub estimates for bids
• Maintain working documents to back-up estimate figures and update estimating programs
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs based on site conditions and data
• Prepare detailed listing of materials and equipment and obtain quotes
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes
• Review quotes for completeness and conformance with plans and specs
• Prepare client-required documents and draft scope letters for bids/negotiated projects
• Review scope/pricing with Chief Estimator before issuing bids
• Explain job scope and transition details after bid turnover to Project Management teams
• Maintain filing system for all estimate documents and Rosendin programs
