Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking an electrical engineer to lead complex electrical design from concept to completion across multiple high-growth markets. You will oversee design documents, system layouts, and coordination with project teams while mentoring junior staff and guiding technical strategy.

The role emphasizes life-safety, code compliance, and reliable power/lighting design, with opportunities for business development and client leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field (electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural).
• 9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred (required for EORs).
• Proficiency with electrical design standards, Revit, Bluebeam, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance.
• Mentor and coach across teams and practices, supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
• Participate in staffing, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight, including final quality reviews to ensure standards compliance.
