Job summary

Henderson Engineers in Houston seeks a senior Electrical Engineer to guide complex, multidisciplinary electrical design from concept through completion, lead discipline teams, and ensure project quality.

You will mentor designers, participate in business development, and serve as Engineer of Record as assigned, applying advanced knowledge of codes, design practices, Revit, and coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, fire protection, or architectural engineering.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required or actively pursued.
• Advanced proficiency in electrical engineering design and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Provide discipline-wide technical guidance on advanced engineering problems.
• Mentor and coach designers and engineers across teams.
• Support staffing decisions, training, and technical strategy development.
• Ensure quality reviews and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with clients and lead business development efforts.
• Serve as Engineer of Record when assigned, upholding professional standards.
