Job summary

Henderson Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer/Designer to guide complex electrical engineering efforts for mission-critical and data-center projects.

You will provide advanced technical leadership, supervise teams of designers and engineers, and help drive practice-level strategy and business development. The role emphasizes leadership in design, coordination, and quality oversight, with responsibilities spanning from concept to construction and strong client

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 12+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is strongly preferred, required for EOR's.
• Advanced to expert proficiency in electrical engineering design, applicable codes and standards.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Bluebeam for design and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering design from concept through completion for complex or large-scale projects.
• Direct or oversee the preparation of design documents, system layouts, detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Develop solutions to advanced and highly complex engineering problems, providing discipline-wide technical guidance.
• Serve as a mentor and coach across teams and practices, including supervising less experienced designers and engineers.
• Participate in staffing, training initiatives, and technical strategy development.
• Provide quality oversight with final reviews to ensure standards and best practices are met.
• Communicate with clients, resolve conflicts, and lead responses to technical questions or design challenges.
• Lead or support strategic business development efforts and maintain client/partner relationships.
