Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Sr Principal Electrical Engineer – Vehicle Subsystems & Integration to lead and contribute on aircraft subsystem development. Roles include guiding from concept to sustainment and ensuring technical excellence across the product lifecycle.

The position supports multiple locations (Palmdale, CA; Oklahoma City, OK; Whiteman AFB, MO; or San Diego, CA) and requires a Secret/SAP clearance, with potential relocation assistance and a competitive benefits

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years of related experience.
Proven experience leading a system’s development from concept to sustainment (cradle-to-grave).
Demonstrated project management capabilities and ability to present to senior executives.
Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

Design and development of hydraulic and electrical schematics for functional systems.
Lead system engineering activities including trade studies, layout, architecture, and verification.
Coordinate with suppliers during hardware development and procurement.
Develop and execute system level test plans and verify airworthiness criteria.
Lead multidisciplinary teams and present to senior leadership.
