Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead cockpit subsystem development and integration for multiple aircraft programs. The role involves guiding from concept through sustainment, with SME input across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include system-level design, requirements analysis, and collaboration with suppliers. A Secret clearance or higher is required, and relocation may be available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a STEM field with relevant experience; advanced degrees optional per policy.
• Experience leading a system's development from concept to sustainment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate teams.
• Proven ability to create and deliver technical briefings to senior executives.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Secret clearance and SAP clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: create hydraulic and electrical schematics, perform system analysis, define power/electrical distribution requirements.
• System Engineering: lead trade studies, layout development, architecture definition, verification, and supplier coordination.
• Leadership & Communication: act as SME for multidisciplinary teams and present to senior leadership.
