Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure in hyperscale facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, providing direction, reviews, client guidance, and mentorship.

Role emphasizes technical governance, project delivery, and leadership across global teams, with travel up to 25% and a focus on AI/HPC, BESS, and evolving power architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE License required; active in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15–20+ years in electrical engineering with data centers or high-reliability facilities.
• Expertise in MV/LV distribution, transformers, UPS, and paralleling.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower for studies.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA and related electrical standards.
• Leadership experience in EPCM/Design-Build contexts; client engagement.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to project sites.

Responsabilités

• Lead electrical architecture from utility interconnection to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for distribution and power systems.
• Lead or review load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash studies.
• Make complex technical decisions balancing reliability and cost.
• Provide independent design governance across teams and projects.
• Guide project delivery from concept to turnover; manage RFIs and changes.
• Support FAT/SAT, commissioning and integrated testing.
• Advise on AI/HPC power strategies and emerging energy options.
