Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to serve as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load.

You will provide technical direction, independent review, and mentorship while leading major design packages, review studies, and support project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; ABET accredited.
• Active Electrical PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong leadership and ability to mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture decisions from utility to IT load.
• Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, switchgear, UPS, generators.
• Review calculations, drawings, and vendor selections for quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams on projects.
