Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities. You will shape the electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load while guiding teams and clients.

Qualifications

ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required; Master's preferred.
Active Electrical PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
15–20+ years in electrical engineering with data centers or mission-critical facilities.
Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, UPS systems.
Experience with power studies (load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash).

Responsibilities

Lead electrical architecture from utility interconnection through IT load.
Provide senior leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, generators, UPS, and paralleling.
Review studies and designs for calculations, equipment selections, and specifications.
Engage from concept through procurement, construction, commissioning, turnover; support RFIs and changes.
