Jacobs is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – SME to act as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, providing direction, independent review, client guidance, and mentorship.

Ideal candidates hold a PE and 15–20+ years in data centers or high-reliability facilities, with MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants and UPS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction; ability to obtain additional licenses.
• 15–20+ years of electrical engineering experience in data centers or high-reliability facilities.
• Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants and paralleling, UPS systems.
• Experience with ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA standards and related electrical codes.
• Leadership experience in EPCM/Design-Build environments.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Serve as senior technical authority for electrical infrastructure.
• Lead MV/LV distribution design and major technical decisions.
• Provide independent review of calculations, drawings, specifications, and equipment selections.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover activities.
• Provide FAT/SAT and IST testing support for critical-power systems.
