Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the electrical design of complex hardware, including schematic capture and PCB layout for mission-critical devices. You will manage the full hardware lifecycle from system architecture to mass production, collaborating with RF, Mechanical, Firmware, and Manufacturing teams.

The role requires leadership in design reviews, component selection, and power architecture, with emphasis on high-density, mixed-signal boards and tight integration in a hybrid

Qualifications

• 7+ years of electrical and circuit board design experience.
• Experience designing high-density, mixed-signal PCBs with processors/memory/power delivery.
• Proficient with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro for schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Experience bringing hardware from design to mass production and certification.

Responsibilities

• Own detailed mixed-signal schematic design for complex hardware.
• Drive high-density PCB designs from architecture to release.
• Design for signal and power integrity across interfaces and analog circuitry.
• Lead component and power-architecture decisions including battery/charging.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Firmware teams on form factor and integration.
• Lead bring-up, validation, and root-cause analysis using lab equipment.
• Ensure production readiness through documentation, reviews, and tests.
• Provide technical leadership and design reviews for engineers and partners.
