Job summary

Axon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of complex hardware systems for mission-critical devices. You will help establish architecture and standards as a founding member of our hardware team, covering schematics, RF, mechanical integration, and board-level debugging.

You will travel up to 50% domestically as needed, collaborate across disciplines, and work a hybrid schedule with onsite hubs in New York, Boston, or Scottsdale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience.
• Experience with PCB design and layout.
• RF integration and coexistence experience.
• Hardware bring-up, debugging, and test equipment use.
• Experience meeting hardware standards and collaborating with partners.

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF, power, memory, and interfaces.
• Design and validate RF and radio systems across wireless tech.
• Collaborate with Mechanical/Industrial Design for form factor and antenna integration.
• Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware using test equipment.
• Drive BOMs, documentation, and verification through production.
• Provide technical leadership to team members and partners.
