Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical hardware. You will work across schematics, RF, and mechanical integration, with ownership across the hardware lifecycle.

You will lead how boards are laid out, validated, and brought up, collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. Travel up to 50% domestically may be required and relocation support is available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with PCB design and layout, RF integration and coexistence, and hardware bring-up/debugging for highly integrated devices.
• Experience across embedded subsystems including application processors, microcontrollers, and high-speed interfaces.
• Strong understanding of RF coexistence and interference across cellular and regulated frequency bands.
• Hands-on experience with Cadence OrCAD and Allegro, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, power supplies, and related test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across application processors, RF transceivers, power management, and high-speed interfaces.
• Design and validate RF and radio systems across multiple wireless technologies, addressing performance and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Industrial Design for board layout and antenna integration within tight form factors.
• Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware using appropriate test equipment.
• Drive BOMs, documentation, verification, and readiness from concept to mass production.
• Provide technical leadership and review designs across the hardware team and partners.
