Job summary

Axon seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to own the design, development, and validation of complex electrical systems for mission-critical, connected hardware. You will shape architecture and standards as a founding hardware team member, spanning schematics, RF, mechanical integration, and debugging.

You will lead cross-functional efforts, drive component selection and BOMs, and collaborate with ODMs/JDMs. Relocation assistance is available and remote eligibility is case‑by‑case.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
• 7+ years of embedded electronics design experience.
• Experience with PCB design and RF coexistence.
• Experience with hardware bring-up and debugging.
• Experience designing for regulatory standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Develop mixed-signal schematics and drive PCB layout across processors, RF transceivers, power, memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Design and validate RF systems across multiple wireless technologies, addressing performance and EMC.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and Industrial Design to optimize form factor and antenna integration.
• Bring up, characterize, and troubleshoot hardware with test equipment.
• Drive component selection, BOMs, documentation, verification, and readiness for mass production.
• Provide technical leadership and review designs with partners to meet hardware objectives.
