Job summary

RTX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer- Production Support in Plano, TX. The role collaborates with manufacturing, program operations, supply chain, and quality to resolve production issues and ensure smooth testing and integration.

The candidate should have 5+ years in related roles, experience with hardware troubleshooting, and the ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret clearance. Onsite role with strong emphasis on cross-functional communication.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum 5 years in production support/related roles (e.g., production support engineer, test engineer, supplier quality engineer, electrical engineer).
• Experience analyzing technical data and/or schematic drawings for troubleshooting.
• Experience coordinating with external vendors to support project execution.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical evaluations of hardware and disposition failing hardware.
• Prioritize and drive improvement opportunities including root cause investigations.
• Update program leadership on hardware failures, supplier repairs, and completion dates.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure timely hardware delivery and repair.
• Serve as main technical contact for key suppliers and identify capability gaps.
• Support quarterly program performance reviews with key suppliers.
• Travel up to 25% to manufacturing facilities, vendors, or customer sites.
