Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Leader to drive multi-discipline projects, primarily in nuclear power. You will guide group members, develop scope and schedules, and ensure deliverables meet quality and budget targets.

The role requires deep electrical design experience, client liaison skills, and leadership across all project phases. PE licensure is preferred; the position is on site in Cranberry Township, PA.

Qualifications

• A BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• Ten or more years’ experience in the design of electrical engineering systems for power plants.
• Three or more years experience in leading an engineering design group through all phases of a project design.
• Experience in selecting equipment, materials, and assembling design change packages, calculations, and specifications.
• Experience as firm/client liaison in a support or lead engineering role.
• Experience with electrical system design including LV/MV distribution (transformers, generators, motors, relays).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient with MS Office.
• Detail oriented; able to obtain nuclear site badge; PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to ensure deliverables meet scope, budget, and client expectations.
• Initiate scope, define deliverables, track progress, and conduct status meetings.
• Oversee detailed design phases and multi-discipline coordination for projects at nuclear plants.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications.
• Provide oversight on design change packages, calculations, specifications, and procurement.
• Interface with clients, mentor staff, and pursue follow-on opportunities.
