Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States seeks an experienced Electrical Engineering leader to guide a design team on multi-discipline projects for nuclear power plants. You will drive scope, schedules, and technical deliverables while ensuring quality and safety.

The role emphasizes mentoring, client liaison, and developing proposals, with opportunities to leverage modern tools and automation to improve workflows and project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years in electrical design for power plants.
• 3+ years leading an engineering design group.
• Experience selecting equipment and preparing design change packages.
• Lead liaison with client and multi-discipline teams.
• Ability to badge for nuclear site access.
• PE licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead group to deliver electrical engineering project deliverables to meet technical, quality, financial and project controls expectations.
• Define scope and deliverables and track progress.
• Coordinate multi-discipline interfaces and client communications.
• Develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules for complex electrical modifications at nuclear plants.
• Provide technical oversight for design changes including equipment specs and calculations.
• Interface with client to validate scope and ensure satisfaction.
• Mentor and develop the group; pursue follow-on opportunities.
• Prepare multi-discipline proposals.
