Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead MV/LV electrical design for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will set engineering standards, direct power system studies, and engage with clients and regulators. The role requires strong leadership, safety culture, and hands-on coordination with I&C and other engineers.

You will mentor junior engineers, review vendor drawings, and support qualification and site-based activities in a high-stakes nuclear environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher required.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with MV/LV design.
• Advanced proficiency in power system analysis software (SKM ETAP).

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of MV/LV electrical systems for facilities.
• Develop load lists and perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit).
• Prepare arc flash and grounding calculations to IEEE/IEC standards.
• Create single line diagrams, equipment layouts, and cable schedules.
• Specify equipment and reviewer for vendor drawings and FATs.
• Lead vendor qualification, bids, and factory audits.
