Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a mid-level Electrical Engineer to design MV and LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will perform system studies, prepare protection settings, and support commissioning across the full electrical discipline.

You will collaborate with I&C, mechanical, and safety engineers in a rigorous environment with a strong safety culture and opportunities to mentor junior engineers and lead design reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in MV/LV distribution design.
• Experience with power system analysis software and protection coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain load lists and perform power system studies (load flow, short circuit, voltage drop).
• Prepare arc flash analyses and grounding calculations to IEEE/IEC standards.
• Create single line diagrams and equipment layout drawings for MV/LV systems.
• Specify switchgear, switchboards, transformers, VFDs, UPS, and generator packages.
• Lead vendor bid evaluations and support commissioning and QA.
