Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead MV/LV electrical system design for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will set engineering standards, perform power system studies, and manage substation, protection, and cabling layouts from utility connections through MCCs.

You will interact with clients, regulators, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-assurance infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience with leadership of MV/LV design programs.
• Advanced proficiency in power system analysis software (SKM ETAP) covering load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc flash, and motor starting.
• Ability to lead substation design from concept through detailed engineering.
• Deep knowledge of IEEE/ANSI/NEMA/CSA/IEC standards for industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of MV/LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities.
• Set engineering standards and direct power system studies.
• Manage vendor programs and engage with clients and regulators.
• Develop single line diagrams and equipment layouts for MV/LV systems.
• Prepare protection settings, relay drawings, and metering plans.
• Witness factory acceptance tests and lead design reviews and safety interactions.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with I&C, civil, and structural teams.
