Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver MV/LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will contribute to electric system design, studies, equipment selection, drawings, specifications, and field support while collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

This role offers exposure to first-of-a-kind industrial facilities and hands-on experience with complex electrical systems in the nuclear industry, with strong safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and relevant coursework.
  • At least 1 year of electrical engineering experience in industrial or complex facilities.
  • Experience with MV/LV distribution and power system analysis software.
  • Familiarity with NEC/IEEE/IEC electrical codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain MV/LV electrical load lists and perform power system studies.
  • Prepare arc flash analyses and substation grounding calculations per IEEE standards.
  • Size transformers, cables, switchgear, MCCs, and related equipment.
  • Create single line diagrams and equipment layouts for distribution systems.
  • Coordinate with I&C, civil, and structural teams on interfaces and layouts.
  • Support design reviews, HAZOPs, and commissioning activities.
