Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and deliver MV/LV electrical systems for nuclear fuel manufacturing facilities. You will contribute to electrical system design, power system studies, equipment selection, drawings, specifications, and field support while collaborating with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 1+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial environments.
  • Experience with MV/LV electrical distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC/IEEE/IEC standards.
  • Experience with power system analysis software (SKM/ETAP/EasyPower).
  • Knowledge of electrical design deliverables (single line diagrams, load lists, equipment specs).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain electrical load lists and support power system studies.
  • Prepare arc flash hazard analysis and substations grounding calculations.
  • Assist with sizing and selection of transformers, cables, switchgear, and batteries.
  • Develop single line diagrams for MV/LV distribution systems.
  • Prepare electrical layouts, cable schedules, and duct bank designs.
  • Support equipment specifications and data sheets for electrical equipment.
  • Assist with protection coordination studies and relay settings.
  • Develop and review electrical drawings and control schematics.
  • Coordinate with I&C, civil, and structural teams on interfaces.
  • Support field commissioning and vendor document reviews.
