Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline across multiple concurrent projects in a broad set of facilities, from manufacturing to data centers and retail buildings. The role involves designs, collaborations with teams, and client interaction, with travel to project sites for surveys and studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Hold Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification and actively working towards PE Certification.
• May be working towards advanced degree (M.Eng., MS, MBA, etc.).
• 4+ years' relevant experience in engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice.
• OSHA training preferred (in some Business Lines this will be required)

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
• Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, data collection for power system studies, electrical system audits and collaboration with clients' team members.
• Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC as well as IEC, CE, EN.
• Fluency in design and modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power).
• Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
• Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
• Perform various system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination).
• Support proposal efforts to win design work.
• Work with designers to develop sealed drawings of your designs.
• Provide mentoring to junior staff.
