Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical discipline of multiple data center projects through pursuit, proposal, design and construction phases. You will be the engineer of record, guide design teams and mentor junior staff in data center electrical design.

This role requires strong knowledge of NFPA, NEC, NETA, IEEE and international standards, plus fluency with AutoCAD, Revit and electrical modelling tools.

Qualifications

• Consulting engineering design experience producing IFC drawings for data centers.
• BS in electrical engineering or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• State-issued professional engineering license preferred.
• Understanding of telecom and fire alarm design including prescriptive and performance-based approaches.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawings with inter-discipline coordination.
• Design for available capacity, redundancy, reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys and data collection for system studies.
• Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards and codes (NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, IEC).
• Proficient in design and modelling software (AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, ETAP, EDSA, Easy Power).
• Perform system studies (arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination) and propose solutions.
