Electrical Design Lead – Infrastructure & Facilities

Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead the electrical discipline across multiple projects and phases, serving as the engineer of record. The role involves collaboration with project teams, junior and senior engineers, managers, and clients on facilities ranging from manufacturing plants to data centers and retail buildings.

You will apply knowledge of NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC and IEC standards while leveraging AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, Etap and other design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• EIT certification and actively working toward PE.
• May also be working towards advanced degree (M.Eng., MS, MBA, etc.).
• 4 or more years’ relevant experience in engineering.
• Detailed knowledge of relevant national standards and codes of practice.
• OSHA training preferred (in some Business Lines this will be required)

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams to develop construction-ready drawing packages with inter-discipline coordination.
• Develop strong industry relationships with other design professionals.
• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys and data collection for power system studies.
• Knowledge of industry standards; NFPA, NEC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UFC, UBC and IEC/CE/EN.
• Fluency in design and modeling software: AutoCAD, Revit, Elum Tools, BIM360, SKM, Etap, EDSA, Easy Power.
• Inter-discipline knowledge of facility systems.
• Competent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience developing solutions to complex projects.
• Perform arc flash, load, short circuit, coordination studies.
• Support proposal efforts to win design work.
• Work with designers to develop sealed drawings.
• Provide mentoring to junior staff.
