Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Electrical SME to lead hyperscale data center power design from utility interconnection to IT equipment receptacle. You will drive MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and arc-flash safety programs while mentoring teams and shaping Jacobs' electrical standards.

You will engage with clients, support RFPs, and push energy efficiency and AI/GPU density initiatives across portfolios, traveling up to 15% and collaborating across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE License required; active in at least one US state; reciprocal licensure possible.
• 20+ years in professional electrical engineering; 15+ years in mission-critical data center or advanced technology facility design.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients, defining MV/LV distribution and redundancy strategies.
• Manage the power chain from MV switchgear through UPS, generator paralleling, transfer switching, PDUs and busway.
• Provide technical governance across disciplines, review calculations and submittals for quality and code compliance.
