Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Electrical SME to lead electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data centers, from utility interconnection through IT equipment receptacle. You will guide MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and switchgear coordination while mentoring teams across disciplines.

You will engage with clients, participate in RFPs and industry forums, and help shape Jacobs' electrical standards and master specifications for mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• PE license active in at least one U.S. state; licensure required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale data centers with MV/LV distribution.
• Oversee power chain from MV switchgear to UPS, generator paralleling, transfer switching, PDUs, busway.
• Review calculations, drawings, and submittals for quality and code compliance; support commissioning and IST.
