Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an Electrical SME to shape electrical infrastructure strategy for hyperscale data centers, from utility interconnection through IT equipment receptacle, including MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and arc flash safety programs.

You will apply leadership and mentoring across multidisciplinary teams while ensuring code compliance with NEC, NFPA, IEEE standards and industry best practices in a dynamic, client-facing role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program; Master's degree preferred.
• PE License active in at least one U.S. state; licensure required for employment.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients; define MV/LV distribution architecture and redundancy.
• Drive full power chain from MV switchgear to UPS and generators; perform studies like short-circuit, arc flash, and load flow.
• Provide technical governance across disciplines; review calculations and drawings; support commissioning and IST of critical power systems.
