Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead power systems for hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will shape MV/LV distribution, UPS topology, generator paralleling, and reliability strategies while engaging clients and delivering technical leadership across design-build projects.

You will also mentor teams, develop reusable standards, and represent Jacobs in industry forums. The role blends hands-on design with governance and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BSEE; Master’s degree preferred.
• Active PE license in at least one US state; reciprocity for licensure.
• 20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience; 15+ years in mission-critical data centers or similar facilities.
• Proficiency with power analysis tools ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower; load flow and arc-flash analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead upfront power systems planning for hyperscale clients and define MV/LV distribution architecture.
• Drive full power chain from MV switchgear through UPS, generators, transfer switching, PDUs and busway; perform power studies.
• Provide technical governance across teams; mentor engineers; support IST and commissioning of critical power systems.
