Job summary

SSOE Group seeks a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive & Industrial Facilities) to lead electrical design for complex manufacturing and automotive facilities, from concept through commissioning. You will serve as Engineer of Record, coordinating with clients, PMs, and multi-discipline teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities for mid-level consideration; 10+ years for senior-level consideration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution systems from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, and electrical room layouts.
• Design medium- and low-voltage power systems for industrial processes and facility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams.
• Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield projects; interface with clients; review vendor documentation; support procurement, construction, startup, and commissioning.
• Lead design reviews, quality reviews, and constructability assessments; develop project scopes, estimates, schedules, and staffing; mentor junior engineers and designers; support proposals and client presentations.
