Job summary

SSOE Group seeks a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive & Industrial Facilities) to lead electrical systems for complex industrial projects, from concept to commissioning. You will shape power distribution, facility infrastructure, and equipment integration while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong technical leadership, client-facing communication, and a track record in industrial facilities, including automotive or battery manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license or licensure via reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience for mid-level; 10+ years for senior-level.
• Experience with automotive, battery, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, or other industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure (MV/LV, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, backup power, grounding).
• Experience performing load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IBC, and related standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution systems from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, and related drawings.
• Design medium- and low-voltage power systems for industrial processes and facility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers; promote technical excellence.
• Support business development including proposals and client presentations.
