SSOE is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer (Automotive & Industrial Facilities) to lead planning, design, and execution of electrical systems for complex industrial projects across automotive, battery, and manufacturing sectors. You\'ll serve as Engineer of Record and coordinate with clients and internal teams.

Locations available include Toledo and other US locations with hybrid or fully remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience supporting industrial or manufacturing facilities; 10+ years for senior level.
• Experience with automotive, battery manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, chemical, or other industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure including medium- and low-voltage distribution, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, backup power, grounding.
• Experience performing electrical studies including load flow, short-circuit, arc flash, and protective device coordination.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IBC, and industrial design standards.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and project leadership skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead design and execution of electrical systems for automotive, manufacturing, battery, and industrial facility projects.
• Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying complexity and size.
• Develop electrical power distribution from utility service through facility distribution networks.
• Prepare and review one-line diagrams, power plans, equipment layouts, cable schedules, electrical room layouts, lighting systems, grounding, load calculations, short-circuit and coordination studies.
• Design medium- and low-voltage power systems supporting industrial processes and facility infrastructure.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, controls, structural, civil, and architecture teams throughout project development.
• Support facility expansion, modernization, and greenfield manufacturing projects.
• Interface with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical recommendations.
• Review vendor documentation and coordinate utility service requirements.
• Support equipment procurement, construction activities, startup, and commissioning efforts.
• Lead design reviews, quality reviews, and constructability assessments.
• Develop project scopes, engineering estimates, schedules, and staffing plans.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers while promoting technical excellence and quality standards.
• Support business development efforts including proposals, client presentations, and project pursuits.
