Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Mid-to-Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems design for automotive, battery, and industrial facilities. The role covers concept through commissioning, collaborating with clients and internal teams to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity.
8+ years of electrical engineering experience in industrial/manufacturing facilities; 10+ years for senior level.
Experience with automotive, battery manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, consumer products, food & beverage, or other industrial facilities.
Strong understanding of facility electrical infrastructure: MV/LV distribution, MCCs, switchgear, VFDs, grounding.

Responsibilities

Lead design and execution of electrical systems for automotive and industrial facilities.
Serve as Engineer of Record and technical lead on projects of varying size.
Develop electrical power distribution from utility to facility distribution networks.
Prepare and review diagrams, plans, layouts, schedules, and lighting/grounding systems.
Mentor junior engineers and designers; lead design reviews and constructability assessments.
Interface with clients and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
