Job summary

HDR Engineering is currently seeking an Electrical/Senior Electrical Engineer to join a large TMT practice, with opportunities in multiple US locations including Chicago. The role involves leading electrical design for data center and mission-critical projects, coordinating with clients, PMs, architects, and other disciplines, and mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, a BS in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis, and strong experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Mentor, organize, and facilitate growth of junior staff.
• Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers, EITs, and BIM Specialists with a multidisciplinary team.
• Lead electrical discussions in design meetings with project teams.
• Design support during construction including field observations and RFI responses.
• Travel to job sites or HDR offices as needed.
