Job summary

Jacobs, the world's No. 1 design firm, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Subject Matter Expert to serve as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure supporting hyperscale, colocation, AI/HPC, and other mission-critical facilities.

You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection through the IT load, providing direction, reviews, client guidance, and mentorship. You'll lead architectural decisions, MV/LV distribution, and critical power systems, while guiding

Qualifications

ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (required).
PE license in at least one US jurisdiction; NCEES record preferred.
15–20+ years of professional electrical engineering experience.
Advanced expertise in MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generator plants and paralleling, UPS systems.
Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or similar high-reliability environments.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical architecture and critical power design from utility to IT load.
Provide senior technical leadership for MV/LV distribution, substations, switchgear, and UPS.
Review load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash studies and related analyses.
Governance and independent design reviews across project teams.
Support project execution from concept through commissioning.
