Jacobs is hiring a Senior Electrical Engineer – Subject Matter Expert to serve as a technical authority for electrical infrastructure in hyperscale and mission-critical facilities. You will shape electrical strategy from utility interconnection to IT load and provide mentorship across project teams.

You’ll lead design governance, engage in energy and power studies, and collaborate with clients to deliver reliable, high-density data center solutions. This role offers a hybrid US-based work model.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree required.
• PE license in the United States required; multiple licenses preferred.
• 15–20+ years of electrical engineering experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical architecture from utility service through IT load.
• Oversee MV/LV distribution, substations, transformers, UPS, and power distribution.
• Perform power studies (load-flow, short-circuit, arc-flash) using ETAP/SKM/EasyPower.
• Provide technical governance and independent design reviews.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to standards and governance.
